Moving Forward

Numbers 10:35 And it came to pass, when the ark was set forward, that Moses said, Rise up, Lord, and let thine enemies be scattered; and let them that hate thee flee before thee. I love the words: And it came to pass, the bible doesn’t ever say: And it came to stay. When the ark was set forward this means that the ark of God was moving forward, God never backs down. As a Christian we should always be moving forward, yesterday is behind us, we can’t do anything about the mistakes we made, Apostle Paul was aware of this when he said: No, dear brothers and sisters, I have not achieved it, but I focus on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead, Philippians 3:1

Learn to Count

Psalm 90:12 Teach us to number our days and recognize how few they are; help us to spend them as we should. This is a psalm that was written by Moses, the man of God. At this time, he has been wandering in the wilderness with the children of Israel. Israel tested God ten times with unbelief and the punishment was that this generation must live in the wilderness for forty years and die before the next generation can enter into the Promised Land. We come from dust and God gives a command for the day that we return to dust, just like the children of Israel we all have an appointed time to return. Teach us to number our days, I’ve noticed this, two different times in my life, two different men t

God Enjoys a Good Laugh

Psalm 2: 1-4 Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing? The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against his anointed, saying, Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us. He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision. Inundation’s definition is: an overwhelming abundance of people or things, a flood. In this day and age, it’s very easy to become inundated with negative news, it’s almost like people are in a rage. When you listen with spiritual ears you hear an agenda, subtle words that go against the kingdom of Christ. The word anointed is from the Hebrew

Being Prepared

Jonah 4:10 Then said the Lord, thou hast had pity on the gourd, for the which thou hast not labored, neither madest it grow; which came up in a night, and perished. You can’t help but love Jonah, he wrote this book and he held nothing back, his contempt, his disobedience, but I see his bravery and his truthfulness. After traveling in the belly of a sea creature for three days and walking through the streets of Nineveh for another three days yelling at everyone that they had forty days before God would overthrow the city. Jonah had some issues; Jonah was mad and apparently didn’t care who knew. When it was all done, he went up on a hill to watch the destruction of the city, he sat there waiti

Great Depths

Jonah 2:9 But I will sacrifice unto thee with the voice of thanksgiving; I will pay that that I have vowed. Salvation is of the LORD. Well, three days have passed, and Jonah decides it’s time to pray. Three days of being in the stomach of a great fish, great not only pertains to the size of the fish but also to the age of the fish. In verse 1:17 it reads: Now the LORD had prepared a great fish to swallow up Jonah. It’s fair to speculate that this fish was really old, currently, the oldest Koi fish living is named Hanako, Hanako was born in 1751 and is 226 years old! God was not caught off guard by Jonah’s disobedience, Jonah didn’t much like the people of Nineveh, he felt they belonged in h

Want to be Remembered?

Malachi 3:16 Then they that feared the Lord spake often to one to another: and the Lord hearkened, and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before Him for them that feared the Lord, and that thought upon His name. I asked the Lord this, “What is the book of Remembrance?” The answer is, “This is the Book of all who have done My will.” There’s also a Book of Life that has the names of every person who has accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, this book is our citizenship into heaven. The Book of Remembrance is for those who have done God’s will, not only believed on Jesus Christ but pursued His callings in their heart. When I was a youth pastor, I used to encourage the t

“SUDDENLY!”

Amos 3:7 Surely the Lord God will do nothing, but He revealeth His secret unto His servants the prophets. Do you want to know a secret? I do, many people think that this promise by God has ended largely due to a misunderstanding of this one scripture: 1Corinthians 13:8 Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away. Charity is Love and love will never fail because God is a loving God. But the day will come when Jesus sets up His kingdom on earth, after this there won’t be any need for prophecies because we will know God’s will, no need to pray in tongues because we will be

Your Wilderness

Luke 5:16 And He withdrew Himself into the wilderness, and prayed. In modern-day words, Jesus just finished a healing crusade to kick off His ministry. Massive crowds were attracted to Him, to listen to His teachings and receive their much-needed healings. Imagine crowds of people gathering around you, pressing you for prayer, not only is the amount of praying exhausting, it can be very concerning for your safety. I had it happen to me in Haiti not to the same extent that Jesus had I’m very sure, and on a much smaller scale. People gathered around so quickly that I was getting crowded back into the vehicle, truthfully, I was getting a little scared. Fortunately, before we left out for the da

His Flowing

Revelations4:5 And out of the throne proceeded lightnings and thunderings and voices: and there were seven lamps of fire burning before the throne, which are the seven Spirits of God. One thing you can be assured of, the Throne Room of God is not a quiet place. But why? Verse 11 may give us some insight as to why God would choose to reign like this. Rev .4:11 Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created. God loves His creation, and God is, too say the least outgoing, everything flows out from Him. You were created for His pleasure, which means fellowship and friendship. It’s hard for me to un

Unity

UNITY John 17:21 That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me. This prayer should be one of the most comforting words Jesus ever spoke to His followers. It’s just so lovely, a prayer of unity, of agreement and hope only a Christian could understand. Jesus is praying for unity with you, and God. A unity that only comes with the filling of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is the connection between God, Jesus and yourself. A simple, using a light switch as metaphor is a very simple way to gain some understanding. When you accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior you can receive the gift of th
