Law Maker, Law Breaker

Romans 8:1-2 Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus Because the law of the Spirit of Life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and death. The great paradox, the laws of: The Spirit of Life verses the law of Sin and Death. Notice the distinguishment between the two: Sin and Death accompany one another like an unholy union since the beginning of time when Adam and Eve ushered it in, being a second union, a spiritual unholy marriage between the two, one can’t exist without the other, the two are eternal companions. In our culture we have an establishment of laws, first we have municipal law, governed by state law, and precedented by federal law

Line of Faith

Psalm 60: 11-12 Give us help from trouble: for vain is the help of man. Through God we shall do valiantly: for He it is that shall tread down our enemies. When you read this, it gives you a sense of peace and understanding that God will help you through your difficult times. When reading this Psalm from the beginning, and relating it to the historical timeline of King David, you feel where it came from and what birthed this: Line of Faith. This Psalm is an account of David’s battles and victories found in II Samuel chapter 8. But In this chapter, there is no mention of any defeats? King David is slamming down victory after victory and yet he pens this Psalm, saying that God has cast us off?

Ready to Forgive

Philemon 1:2-5 And to our beloved Apphia, and Archippus our fellow-soldier, and to the church in thy house: Grace to you, and peace, from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. I thank my God, making mention of thee always in my prayers, Hearing of thy love and faith, which thou hast toward the Lord Jesus, and toward all saints; Apphia, is believed to be the wife of Philemon and Archippus his son. Notice that Paul greets them rather than Philemon, in fact Philemon is not even mentioned until the very last verse in this letter. Here are some insights that we can gather from this letter seeking forgiveness for a run-away slave named Onesimus. First Onesimus wasn’t running away from slavery

Seven and a Half

Luke 24:15-17 And it came to pass, that, while they communed together and reasoned, Jesus himself drew near, and went with them. But their eyes were holden that they should not know him. And he said unto them, “What manner of communications are these that ye have one to another, as ye walk, and are sad?” After the crucifixion, these two disciples were on a long lonely hike of seven and a half miles, or so they thought. Most of us read over this scripture without realizing that Jesus is already fulfilling a promise He made back in the book of: Mathew 18:20 For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them. In this case, Christ chose to manifest Himself i

Morning Prayer

Numbers 6: 24-26 The Lord bless thee, and keep thee: The Lord make His face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee; The Lord lift up His countenance upon thee; and give thee peace. Here is one of the most beautiful blessings in the bible, these words were ordained by God and given to Moses, Moses then gave this prayer to Aaron, Arron gave the prayer to his priests and the priests prayed this over the people of Israel. This prayer is for all time and everyone, a speech from God, a holy instruction on how to receive His blessing and how to bless your children as well. In this day and age, we say things like; ‘Don’t work too hard.’ ‘Wouldn’t it be so much more gracious to say; ‘May the Lor

Let’s Get Righteous

Psalm 5:12 For thou, Lord, wilt bless the righteous; with favor wilt thou compass him as with a shield. Psalm 5 is a morning prayer that King David prayed, but in verse 1 he starts by asking God to consider his meditation. Meditation has a dual meaning one is; thoughts, and two is; murmurings. I do this throughout the day, almost like a whisper I’ll speak to God under my breath. No one can hear what I’m saying (unless of course I’m actually deaf and don’t realize I’m shouting out loud?) But I have confident trust that God hears what I’m saying and confident that He hears me. That’s truly being Blessed, by a compassionate God that cares about our little murmurings. There’s a qualifying aspect

Don’t Reject-Accept

Hosea 4:6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge. Oh, how the devil has used this to his advantage over the centuries. Of course, this verse was directed towards the nation of Israel for that generation. But how true is this same verse for today? Very true I say, in many ways. Healthwise people have fallen to crazy beliefs in health. People used to think it was very healthy to take mercury. Another common practice was bloodletting, this is what happens when we stray too far away from the word of God. The bible clearly states that life is in the blood: Leviticus 17:11 - For the life of the flesh [is] in the blood: and I have given it to you upon th
