Sway This Way

Exodus 23: (2-3) “Don’t join mobs’ intent on evil. When on the witness stand, don’t be swayed in your testimony by the mood of the majority present, and do not slant your testimony in favor of a man just because he is poor. The Living Bible Every human has an inner desire to be liked, to be accepted by the crowd. The enemy knows this, but that same crowd can love you today and crucify your tomorrow. There have been several studies done over the years about, “Mass Behavior” or how people react when in social groups. Once I watched a British television program on this. The object of the show was to see if they could get someone to murder another person by pushing them off the roof top. The man

Not All Lights

2 Corinthians 11:14 And no wonder, for even Satan masquerades as an angel of light. It is no great thing therefore if his servants also masquerade as servants of righteousness. Their end will be according to their deeds. Yep, there are many people in the ministry for the wrong reasons. I think most go into the ministry with good intentions and then along the line, they fall to a small temptation, that temptation happens again and again to where their heart hardens to it and then the enemy has them in full-blown sin. Years ago I needed a label printed for my personal use, I took the label maker for the ministry and started to type out the label, then I had a vision of the Holy Spirit; ‘ He wa

The Sovereign Shepherd

Ezekiel 34:31 And ye my flock, the flock of My pasture, are men, and I am your ELOHIYM, says ADONAI YAHUAH. Cepher Bible This is scripture is so beautiful when written with the transliteration of the original Hebrew names of God. It gives us the true meaning of what Father God is conveying to us His Flock. Here is how I translate the meanings: And you are My flock, the flock of My pasture, you are My men, and I AM your Mighty Creator, saith The Sovereign Controller, The LORD We are His Sheep and His pasture is the earth and the fullness thereof. Growing up we had sheep and goats, the sheep are more to themselves and the goats are, to say the least, more problematic. But the funny thing abou

Dry Water

Psalm 81:7 He said, “You cried to me in trouble, and I saved you; I answered from Mount Sinai where the thunder hides. I tested your faith at Meribah, when you complained there was no water. In Numbers 22, Moses leads the Hebrews out of Egypt with many signs and wonders by God. Now, after all, their unbelief mixed with a little faithfulness, they start to murmur against Moses again, but why? God has intentionally led these people to a dry place in the wilderness, not to harm them, which is what they accuse Moses of, but to test them, to measure their faith. Father God wants to show them His magnificence, His Son’s Glory. God commanded Moses to strike the Rock once and water would flow from i

What’s On Your Heart

2 Chronicles 12: 9 -10 So King Shishak of Egypt conquered Jerusalem and took away all the treasures of the Temple and of the palace, also all of Solomon’s gold shields. King Rehoboam replaced them with bronze shields and committed them to the care of the captain of his bodyguard. Just five years into his reign King Rehoboam was defeated by the King of Egypt. Rehoboam was the grandson of King David and the son of Solomon. King Solomon had left a very wealthy dynasty for his son to inherit, but all the wealth wouldn’t allow God to enter into Rehoboams’ heart. Because of sin, God forewarned him that he was going to be judged and his wealth taken. Symbolically, Gold represents God’s Glory, His

Preaching Like a Cowboy

Mark 6:12 And they went out, and preached that men should repent. And they cast out many devils, and anointed with oil many that were sick, and healed them. Jesus sends out the twelve disciples telling them to go into every city and preach the gospel and cast out devils. He also said that if any city were to reject His message that they were to shake the dust off their feet on their way out, telling them that it would be more tolerable for Sodom and Gomorrah on the day of judgment than for the people of that city. The disciples preached repentance, not benefits, not happiness, and other feel-good messages. Notice, when they came to report back to Jesus, there is no mention of any city rejec

The Place To Be

Nahum 1:7 The LORD is good, a strong hold in the day of trouble; and he knoweth them that trust in Him. Nahum was a blessed prophet of God, he prophesied against the city of Nineveh just like Jonah. The difference was that Nahum was about 150 years after Jonah, and twenty years later the prophecy came to pass with the complete destruction of the city, it was so complete that scholars thought the city with over a million residents was a myth until the ruins were discovered in the 1800s. He penned this verse about the goodness of God while he prophesied about the destruction to come. A forewarning to those who served God, that trusting in God would be their safety. Nahum was from a small town

A Night Out

1Corinthians 10:26-27 For the earth is the Lord's, and the fulness thereof. If any of them that believe not bid you to a feast, and ye be disposed to go; whatsoever is set before you, eat, asking no question for conscience sake. I know that as Christians we can sometimes get hung up over false, but well-intended beliefs, thinking that it is inappropriate to do things with non-believers. I used to go hunting with people that were not totally on board with Christianity, makes me laugh to think about it now. But those guys were rough and not well-spoken, but I loved each of them. They always gave me the best spots to hunt, rooting for me to get a deer. And I rooted for them to be in the best p

There is a Time Limit

Mark 4:12 That seeing they may see, and not perceive; and hearing they may hear, and not understand; lest at any time they should be converted, and their sins should be forgiven them. As I read this verse it suddenly caught my attention, I was like, Wait! What? Aren’t we supposed to be leading everyone to Christ? Clearly, Jesus is stating that not everyone will understand the Word of God. I have been thinking about this verse for days now, and subtly other verses have come to my attention to lend me understanding. Jesus will approach people throughout their lives, and they reject Him, to be honest, it is because they do not want to change their lifestyle. I remember a man that was a friend
