Taking Power

March 1, 2025

Revelation 12:11 (AMP)

"And they overcame and conquered him because of the blood of the Lamb and because of the word of their testimony, for they did not love their life and renounce their faith even when faced with death."

This verse profoundly declares how we, as believers, conquer the enemy—through the blood of the Lamb and the word of our testimony. But how do we apply the blood in our daily lives? One way is through communion, where we remember and partake in Christ’s sacrifice.

I take communion often, sometimes with close friends, and each time, it is a moment of prayer, revelation, and transformation. Communion is not just a ritual—it’s a learning experience that deepens my understanding of the power of Christ’s sacrifice. Recently, as I meditated on Revelation 12:11, I realized that this verse is directly connected to communion. The victory it speaks of is made real through the body and blood of Jesus, which we partake in as an act of faith.

Luke 22:19-20 (AMP)

"And when He had taken bread and given thanks, He broke it and gave it to them, saying, 'This is My body, which is given for you; do this in remembrance of Me.' And in the same way He took the cup after they had eaten, saying, 'This cup, which is poured out for you, is the new covenant in My blood.'”

Just as modern science has discovered ways to modify RNA—changing the very blueprint of how our bodies produce proteins—communion is a spiritual transformation that alters our very nature. While gene therapy can modify physical traits, communion changes us at a deeper level—it aligns us with Christ, strengthens our spirit, and equips us for battle.

When we take communion, we are partaking in spiritual DNA transformation. The blood of Jesus is not just symbolic—it is a weapon of victory. His body was broken for us, and in response, our lives become a living offering to Him. Our words, spoken in faith, become swords in the Spirit (Ephesians 6:17), cutting down the enemy’s lies.

Through communion, we don’t just remember Christ’s sacrifice—we step into the power of His victory.
