Not All Lights October 17
2 Corinthians 11:14
And no wonder, for even Satan masquerades as an angel of light.
It is no great thing therefore if his servants also masquerade as servants of righteousness. Their end will be according to their deeds.
Yep, there are many people in the ministry for the wrong reasons. I think most go into the ministry with good intentions, and then along the line, they fall to a small temptation, that temptation happens again and again to where their heart hardens to it, and then the enemy has them in full-blown sin.
Years ago, I needed a label printed for my personal use. I took the label maker for the ministry and started to type out the tag, then I had a vision of the Holy Spirit; 'He was wearing blue farmer overalls with a straw hat, He held His hand up and with His finger, He gestured no, no."
And that was it; I quickly deleted what I was doing. It was such a small thing, and I didn't think it would matter, just a few pennies worth of the Lord's supplies. Now I know it was a temptation by the enemy.
Now I buy all the paper, ink, labels, and things like that for the ministry myself. If I need them or my family uses them, we won't be accountable.
Know your weaknesses and guard yourself before the enemy can take advantage, and know the enemy's tactics so that you can recognize his temptations.
In the book 'The Art of War' by General Sun Tzu around 510 B.C. he wrote this:
"If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle."
The greatest Generals know the tactics of their enemies.
