“The God Who Hears”

Mathew 16 18-19 “And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it. And I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven” This saying took place at a specific cave in Caesarea Philippi, which is at the base of Mount Hermon. The cave is actually called, the gate of Hades as well as the Grotto of Pan named after a pagan god. People would throw their sacrifices into the inner part of the cave that had deep flowing springs, if no blood came out of the spring in front of the cave this meant the sacri

We are confident

1 Corinthians 15: 55-57 “O Death, where is your sting? O Hades, where is your victory?” The sting of death is sin, and the strength of sin is the law. But Thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Death, it doesn’t get much more serious. I’m pretty confident in saying that Jesus’s victory on the cross is the complete answer to this topic. Death couldn’t kill him and the grave couldn’t hold him, simple as that. I’ve read and heard of testimonies of Christians that have died, came back to life and said things like, “Don’t fear death because I didn’t feel a thing!” 2 Corinthians 5:8 We are confident, yes, well pleased rather to be absent from the body and to be p

“The First and the Last”

Hebrews 1:1-2 Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith. People love to watch a great athletic performance, to watch the greatest athletes perform at the highest levels. Today I remembered a video I saw a few years ago of a track race, that made me think about this scripture. It was probably a 50-meter hurdle, men’s competition. The gun sounded and all the men took off. This one man was particularly heavy not because of fat but because he had so much muscle. Every time

“The God Who Intercedes”

Isaiah 54:17 No weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue which rises against you in judgment, you shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD and their righteousness is from Me Says the LORD. Good words to know when people are speaking all manner of evil against you. It’s hard to take sometimes, especially when you have just been kind to someone and they cuss you, but there is another enemy that places Jesus in a tuff spot. It’s our own tongue. Notice it says every tongue, this includes your own tongue. The enemy uses your own words against you whenever he can. One night not long ago I had a very vivid dream, a night vision: As I was standing, storm cloud

“Mighty in Battle”

8/25/2016 Psalm 58:6 Break their teeth, O God, in their mouth; break out the great teeth of the young lions, O LORD. When you first read this scripture it makes you think “Whoa, dude you have some issue’s here!” Maybe King David really did mean it that way? However, he was the king and it’s never a good idea to upset a king, David could have just sent his army to shut some enemies up. Recently while in California I was praying outside at a very beautiful farm owned by a friend. As I stood on the top of the hill looking down into the countryside, I said: “Lord please Bless this land.” No sooner had the words come out of my mouth, I clearly heard the enemy say very angrily: “I Promise You!” I

Labels

Revelation 9:21 Neither repented they of their murders, nor of their sorceries, nor of their fornication, nor of their thefts. I know that this verse relates to the last days, but many believe that we are well into the very last days. This verse explains what people are doing and the refusal to change. Let’s take a look at a brief definition of some of these labels from Strong’s Greek Concordance, Murders: Phonos, be slain with, slaughter. Sorceries: Pharmakeia, medication (this is where we get the term pharmacy from, drug use) sorcery, witchcraft. Fornication: Poneia, harlotry (including adultery, incest,) idolatry Thefts: Klemma, stealing (the thing stolen, but used of the act) – theft Her

Jude's Prayer

Jude 1:25 Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling. And to present you faultless. Before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy, To God the Savior, Who alone is wise, Be glory and majesty, Dominion and power, Both now and forever, Amen. This reminds me of the Lord’s prayer, the prayer of Jude, Jesus’s half-brother. You’ve heard all the one liners before; “Place your trust in God to see you through,” “A prayer in time saves nine” (actually I just made that last one up.) How does the Holy Spirit keep you from stumbling? Here’s a couple of simple examples; you get too much change back at the cash register and that little conviction causes you to correct the mistake, you decide to

“Fountain of Living Waters” Orchestrated

Ezekiel 36:27 And I will put my Spirit in you and move you to follow My decrees and be careful to keep My laws. Recently I was attending a prophetic conference and I received a very beautiful revelation as to the meaning of this verse and the beautiful dance between The Father, The Son, The Holy Spirit and you. During praise and worship service for some reason, I decided to go sit in the back of our church in the sound booth. While sitting there I observed Pastor Ray coaching our drummer a beautiful young lady, Miss Randi with the most precious smile. Pastor Ray used to be a professional drummer that toured with the famous bands. Miss Randi being a very talented and aspiring musician wanted

"The God Who Hears"

Ezekiel 22:30 “So I sought for a man among them who would make a wall, and stand in the gap before Me on behalf of the land, that I should not destroy it; but I found no one.” Have you ever had someone say to you “I’m standing in the Gap for so & so?” This is the bible verse they are referring to, and what they are talking about is praying for someone, or a country, political leaders or maybe a need that this person could have. What God really needs you to do is pray for their salvation, that their name would be found in the Lambs Book of Life. I love this saying “Your Prayers Matter!” Because they do. A few years ago I had an elderly neighbor lady that didn’t much care for me. When I would

Judge

Hebrews 6:14 But solid food belongs to those who are of full age, that is, those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil. The beginning of this sentence is actually a metaphor, relating to food in the spirit. For years I have thought about this scripture, I would always think that it meant knowing the difference between right and wrong. But how could that require you to be of full age? A young child knows the difference between right and wrong, it’s taught but it is also inherent. So this scripture means more than just right and wrong. That’s what I love about the bible it’s alive! The living word just gets deeper the more you study. That is, those who

FASTING

Acts 13:2 As they ministered to the Lord and fasted, the Holy Spirit said, "Set apart for Me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them." Have you ever wondered why fasting is so important? I have and I have fasted often in my life not really knowing why. When I was a young Christian I listened to a pastor explain that fasting was just starving one’s self in order to get God to speak to you. Well, he was a good pastor but this was wrong and it really was a stumbling block for me, in regards to the importance of fasting and prayer. The start of this verse bares some looking into, as they ministered to the Lord, I checked 25 different bible versions on this. The consensus would

THE WAY

Luke 9:57 And it came to pass, that, as they went in the way, a certain man said unto Him, Lord I will follow thee whithersoever thou goest. The Holy Spirit uses His words very carefully here in this text. Notice the words, the way. We get the word way from the Greek word, hod-os' Which means a road; by implication a progress (the route, act or distance); figuratively a mode or means: - journey, (high-) way. It occurs 120 times in the bible in various uses. Here you can see that they are walking down a road taking a journey in the natural. But did you know that the early church was actually referred to as ‘The Way?’ we can see Apostle Paul referring to this in, Acts 24:14: “But this I confes

He's your Potter

2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore, if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. All things are become new, this includes your faith it should be refreshed daily through prayer. Your faith is for others. But what hinders faith? Pride Pro 16:18 Pride before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall. Many times while praying for people I have seen a vision of myself stepping back and pointing up towards God and saying, “Give God the Glory!” or “To God be the Glory!” The Holy Spirit does this for me so that I won’t fall into pride, a snare the enemy sets to steal your anointing. When tempted to take credit for God’s work just cast

“True God”

8/15/2016 Mark 16:16-17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils, they shall speak with new tongues, They shall take up serpents, and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them, they shall lay hands on the sick and they shall recover. Recently I had two different people ask me this same question, “How do you get so much faith?” Frankly it’s a hard question to answer on the spot. For a long time, I would just take the attitude that once I prayed it was now God’s problem, not mine because I would worry about whether or not God would answer. But by giving it over to God it turned into trust, and trust equals faith. You have the same Holy

Victory in Rest

Isaiah 30:15 For the Lord, The Holy One of Israel, said, “In quiet and rest Is your salvation: Peace and hope are your strength.” God is so amazing! He operates contrary to what the world tells us. Rest soothes the soul; the battle-torn soul. Sometimes I think our spirit is wrapped in a body that looks more like a band-aid, in mummy type layers of cloth holding our spirit in. I’ve ministered to counselors that have pushed themselves so hard that they have reached the burnout syndrome. They reach a place where it only takes one more little thing to push them into quitting. It's important to take time for rest, the Sabbath was created for man and for this purpose. He is: “Shub Nephesh” “Renew

“The God of Knowledge”

I Corinthians 4:16 - 17 For though you might have ten thousand instructors in Christ, yet you do not have many fathers; for in Christ Jesus I have begotten you through the gospel. Therefore, I urge you, imitate me. One time I listened to an evangelist tell a story about two men playing pool one man was a very good pool player. As they played together the man was amazed at how good his friend was and he remarked: “You’re really good, you should go Pro.” To which his friend replied back, “Oh, I’m not good enough to be a pro, I’m a B level player at best.” The man said, “I don’t know you look like an A level player to me?” His friend replied back “That’s because you have never seen an A level p

“The One Who Lifts My Head”

Psalm 42:11 Why, my soul, are you downcast? Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise him, my Savior and my God. Have you ever had depression before? A depression that is so deep within you that all your physical pores feel depressed? It can be hard to lift your arm or even your head to give a polite smile. Psalm 3:3 But thou O LORD art a shield for me, my glory, and the lifter up of mine head. Did you notice that: “O LORD” is in all caps? Because the Jewish people considered the name of God very sacred, they would not spell out the vowels. “O LORD” was written YHWH in this instance, and this is where we derive the word Jehovah as well. It show’s God to be eter

“The Healing of a Grieving Spirit.”

Psalm 34: 17-18 The righteous cry, and the Lord heareth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles. The Lord is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit. When I asked The Lord what do you want me to teach on today? Here was His response; “The Healing of a Grieving Spirit.” Have you ever heard of the term ‘Broken Heart Syndrome?’ The bible nailed it centuries before modern science did, take a look, Isaiah 16:11 For this cause the cords of my heart are sounding for Moab, and I am full of sorrow for Kir-heres. (BBE) Simply put, your heart has tendons that look like strings. When sudden trauma hits, a loss of a loved one, a breakup in a serious re

God’s perfect knowledge of Man

Psalm 139:13-18 For You formed my inward parts; You covered me in my mother’s womb. I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Marvelous are you works, And that my soul knows very well. My frame was not hidden from You, When I was made in secret, and skillfully wrought in the lowest parts of the earth. Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed. And in your book they were all written, the days fashioned for me. When as yet there were none of them. How precious also are Your thoughts to me, O God! How great is the sum of them! If I should count them, they would be more than the numbers of the sand; When I awake, I am still with You. A Christian scientist once said, “Every

“Mighty Creator”

Psalm 8 For the leader on the Gittith. A Psalm of David. 1 O LORD, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth! You have set your glory above the heavens. 2 Out of the mouth of babies and infants, you have established strength because of your foes, to still the enemy and the avenger. 3 When I look at your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have set in place, 4 what is man that you are mindful of him, and the son of man that you care for him? 5 Yet you have made him a little lower than the heavenly beings and crowned him with glory and honor. 6 You have given him dominion over the works of your hands; you have put
