No weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue which rises against you in judgment, you shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD and their righteousness is from Me Says the LORD.
Good words to know when people are speaking all manner of evil against you. It’s hard to take sometimes, especially when you have just been kind to someone and they cuss you, but there is another enemy that places Jesus in a tuff spot. It’s our own tongue.
Notice it says every tongue, this includes your own tongue. The enemy uses your own words against you whenever he can. One night not long ago I had a very vivid dream, a night vision:
As I was standing, storm clouds rolled in, they were very threatening, with lightning, and thunder. I saw Jesus standing on a cliff that was jetting out, He was silent and just looking at the storm clouds approaching Him. The clouds stopped and out of them came this enormous Blowfish! It was larger than a blimp by three times the size and it was angry. It approached Jesus reached down and picked Him up brought Him to his face and spoke to Him. Jesus was tiny in comparison but He absolutely showed no fear, no emotions. The Blowfish angrily spoke to Him and then placed Him back on the cliff and left. I knew the conversation was about something I had said earlier in the day.
Malachi 3: 11
“And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes. So that he will not destroy the fruit for you in the field,” Says the Lord of hosts.
You have the right to repent for your own words when they slip out. In some translations, the words, “you shall condemn,” have been translated into: “you shall vanquish,” which means to overcome. So be glad you can overcome your own words. And forgive the words of others.
