Stand Strong October 27

1Corinthians 16:13-14

Watch ye, stand fast in the faith, quit you like men, be strong.

Let all your things be done with charity.

Watch ye, Christians are to be on the lookout for false teachers in Christ. With modern-day media, we are inundated with teachers that mislead with false doctrines—teaching people what they want to hear.

I was invited to a church service that had an evangelist speaking. The first thing he did was tell everyone to close their eyes so that he could see whose unbelief of his gift would keep their eyes open. In my mind, that raised a red flag, and I just stared directly into his eyes.

He had some gimmicks that he used and kept a close eye on me. Afterward, he started praying for people, so I went up for prayer, and he kept skipping over me. I noticed that he was prophesying the same four blessings over everyone.

After the service, I asked the Lord if he was for real, and immediately the Holy Spirit showed me a vision of an usher walking by with a basket full of offerings. The envelopes were sticking out the top of the basket, and I knew then that he was fake.

Quit comes from the Hebrew word, andrizomai which means, to act manly, followed by being strong. Let all your things be done in love.

Strong Christians observe, trust in the word, are strong in love because love is Strong.
