I don’t know why, but this verse has stuck in my head for years. I used to think it pertained to a person’s sin or crimes, and that God by His grace concealed it.
For whatever reason, the authors of King James elected to translate the Hebrew word, daw-bawr over to the English word thing. Maybe it wasn’t the best choice of words, actually, that’s what it means, word.
By searching out the text now we have a better understanding of what Father God means. God has elected to conceal His words in the text of the bible.

The preacher sought to find out acceptable words: and that which was written was upright, even words of truth.
When you study the bible and discover words and meanings for yourself, it’s to your honor. Have you ever; or have you ever been around someone and they want to tell you about a revelation they received from the Lord while reading the bible? Their excited and usually full of joy, wanting to share their new insights with you.
You can be a king when you study your bible.
