Hot Topic May 23

Ephesians 4: 26 – 27

Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath:

Neither give place to the devil.

Anger is a hot topic, I used to have anger issues, mainly stemmed from frustration, stress, and the mailbox; it just wouldn’t stop sending me bills.

Then one day, I just said to myself, “You’re the only one that controls this.” I started controlling my anger; the more I tried, the easier it became.

But there are times when righteous anger swells up inside me. I was at Prayer Stop one Saturday ministering to people. A man sat with me and started talking about revivals going on overseas, the great miracles of healing, etc..

Then he began to talk about how little faith there is in the United States; mind you, I’m sitting on side one of the busiest roads in the Boro with signs that state, ‘Do You Need a Miracle?

He went on to say American’s don’t have the faith to get healed. Like a kettle of boiling water, the Holy Spirit rose inside me, and I said, “That’s because they don’t have people always telling them they don’t have faith!”

One is spiritual anger, and the other is fleshly anger. I read a quote, “Anger is punishing yourself for what someone else did.” Don’t punish your flesh for what someone else has done.

When you let anger pass you by, those words that get us into trouble will stay unspoken, and that gives,

no place for the devil.
