Continuous Fruit November 10

John 15:16

Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.

It’s comforting to know that Jesus has picked you to be on His team. One of the reasons He chose you is because you have something to offer that no one else has, your special uniqueness.

I recently watched a man on tv who developed a fruit tree that yields 40 different kinds of fruit. It takes him nine years to graft all the other fruit-bearing trees onto a single tree.

He brought his tree to the local growers and nurseries; no one could see the benefit of having such a tree. They said it would be too hard to harvest.

But he saw the benefits, a tree that produces different fruits all through the summer, and when it blossoms in the spring, it is so beautiful with all the varieties of flowers.

That’s what Jesus sees in you, something unique that others may not see, or understand, a fruit that He can harvest year-round.

Continuous fruit, something that remains long after we leave this earth. Things like people we have testified to, church buildings that we helped labor to build, ministries and missionaries that we supported, things that remain. Things that keep sending fruit to heaven long after our arrival.

The key is asking God to show you good ground to plant your seed, places that will bear fruit.
