I have seen an end of all perfection: but thy commandment is exceeding broad.
This is one of those verses you can read over and completely not understand and just keep on reading, or maybe you will pause and think about it for a second.
What the Psalmist is saying is this: I have seen a limit to all completion. In:
And then you set a boundary for the seas so that they would never again cover the earth.
Everything has a boundary, even the oceans. God set a limit to what things can do, a plane can only fly so high, a horse can only run so fast, and we can only live so long, and the earth will have an end.
…but thy commandment is exceeding broad.
Jesus said in:
Mathew 24:35 Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.
The psalmist has realized that everything will fail you, but God's word never will.
