Joel 2:32

And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be delivered.

There it is again, one of my favorite sayings; “And it shall come to pass,” remember it never reads; it came to stay. Whosoever shall call, that covers a lot of people, and it includes you. The word call means: to invoke aid, to worship, testimony, to make a decision, and these are powerful words in God’s ears.

We can call on God through worship, praise, and our testimony. The things we’ve said about God in the past and present. If you have confessed God to be a miracle-working God, chances are you believe that.

How do you call upon the name of the Lord? Knowing His name, I place His self-appointed names at the bottom of the devotions because His identity is revealed through His name.

I had a Jewish friend once who came to me for prayer, and she was unjustly being sued, a landlord intentionally forced her into a breach of contract. She filed a countersuit to try and defend herself. She asked me for scripture that she could use for court.

I just said, “Read Romans 13; it’s about subjection to authority,” she asked me to come over to her desk, as it turned out that was the bible verse she had pulled up on her computer at the time, the look on her face was total astonishment.

The next day she went to court. The woman that was suing her did not arrive. The judge dismissed her case and awarded my friend $6000.00 in the countersuit!

As she was leaving the building, the other lady was detained by officers at the metal detector, and the police would not let her through. It was like the woman was on a merry-go-round trying to get past security.

When you call out to God, He renders a decision on your behalf, you win.

Romans 10:11
