Isaiah 66:24
And they shall go forth, and look upon the carcasses of the men that have transgressed against Me: for their worm shall not die, neither shall their fire be quenched; and they shall be an abhorring unto all flesh.
Not everything in the bible is peaches and cream. When this world's time comes to an end, this is what we will all see. What Isaiah is describing is called Hell. The second death, Hell's fire, tormented by flames of fire and a flesh-eating worm, an eternity separated from God.
You're either on one side of the flames or the other, no in-between. Those that have accepted Jesus as their Lord and Savior will not suffer this death.
Years ago, I saw a gentleman on tv that said this one verse proves that the bible is not true because how could a person be in flames of fire and a worm not be touched? He said this verse, the one verse he had placed his whole eternity on, was scientifically impossible.
When you lean on a scientific hypothesis with limited knowledge, you can end up in Hell. But there is scientific proof that confirms this bible verse. It is so simple and so minuscule; a living creature called the: Tardigrade.
The Tardigrade AKA as the 'Water Bear,' The world's most formidable animal @ 0.002 to 0.5 mm in length it can survive temperatures as low as -272 degrees Celsius, which is 1 degree above absolute zero, the lowest temperature in the universe, that's -457 degrees Fahrenheit!
The Water Bear can also survive heat up to 150 degrees Celsius, which equals about 302 degrees Fahrenheit. It can live inside a nuclear reactor and be totally fine. It can also live without food or water for over 30 years. When scientists placed it in outer space, they multiplied!
The Water Bear proves that a worm could dwell in flames and not be harmed. Proving this verse true. The bible proves science, and science confirms the bible; if studied with the right heart.
Would you please not let a hard heart place you on the wrong side of the flames?
God created you, and He loves His creation. He loves you so much; Jesus came and took death by dying on the cross for you so that you could have eternal life.
