“I AM” Your Circumstance June 26
Jeremiah 32:17
Ah, Lord God! Behold, thou hast made the heaven and the earth by thy great power and stretched out arm, and there is nothing too hard for thee.
It seems like I always limit God to my understanding of how things work. For some reason, He doesn’t have a problem handling my problems. I recently read this,
‘If God is leading you into troubled waters, it’s because your enemy can’t swim.’
In 1869 John Wesley Powell conducted the first expedition down the Colorado River inside the Grand Canyon. Powell had grown up on the Mississippi River and was well experienced with dangerous waters.
However, rapids of the Colorado River were unnerving to some of his crew. Three of his men decided that the rapids ahead were too rough to navigate. The men decided to hike out of the canyon and make the rest of the journey on foot.
Powell and the rest of his team forged ahead. The rapids that looked so rough weren’t as fierce as they appeared, they had been through worse, and after this, the sailing was much easier than before. They went on to complete their expedition and won the journey.
As for the three men that hiked out, sad to say, they were never seen again, more than likely killed by hostiles. Ironically, safety was in the rapids. Sometimes the boat ride can be challenging.
If God has brought you into a situation or allowed you to get there, it is for a reason, and remember this verse:
Luke 1:37
For with God Nothing shall be impossible…
He is: YAH
