Source of My Strength June 9
Psalm 86:7
In the day of my trouble I will call upon thee: for thou wilt answer me.
How's your day going so far? No matter who you are, you can be assured in life, you're going to have some trouble. When I was a child, we used to have this red rotary dial telephone with a long cord to the wall. I remember laying on the bed looking at it, hoping God would call me on it; no matter how long I looked at it, it never rang. When it did ring, it was always for my brother or sister.
It's not that God didn't know how to use a rotary phone. He wasn't too busy for me to take a moment and listen. It was me not knowing how to dial the correct number to reach Him. You see, many, many years before there was this thing called email, there was knee mail.
We got on our knees and talked to God. We have His promise that He will listen. But when your time of trouble comes, you want Him to answer, and God will answer.
His answer may or may not be with words. Maybe He will answer with a response or supply the need. He could send someone by that says just the right thing at just the right moment, and somehow it makes everything better, and yes that was God and be sure to say 'Thank you'
Put Him on your speed dial.
