STRONG TOWER June 5

Proverbs 18:10

The Name of the Lord is a strong tower; the righteous run into it and are safe.

This verse is one of my favorites. In times of trouble, you can run to the name of the Lord, but what if you don’t know his name?

Romans 10:14 (TLV)

How then shall they call on the one they have not trusted? And how shall they trust in the one they have not heard of? And how shall they hear without someone proclaiming?

His Hebrew name is YAHUSHA HAMASHIACH. However, we say: “Jesus the Christ.” In the day of trouble, you can run to His name and be safe.

While I was delivering bottled water to a home, halfway between the house and the water truck, a German Shepard aggressively came towards me. I’m not afraid of dogs; however, this one had mange. The animal stopped and began to circle me trying to gain a position to bite. Standing there with a bottle of water on my shoulder, I couldn’t get to the house or the truck. I thought, ‘Lord, it’s one thing to get bit by a dog, but it’s another thing to get bit by a dog with mange!’

Suddenly out of nowhere came this Mockingbird, and it started attacking the dog! I was able to get back to my truck the whole time listening to the dog whelp because the bird was putting it on him! The dog ran off, and I Thanked God! I knew the Lord heard my thoughts. I never said it out loud, but innocently I had run to the name of the Lord.

There are times in your life where you will be confronted with temptations, dangers & snares. In your mind, you can run to the name of Jesus a strong tower, and you will be saved. Then you will be able to proclaim His name to all your friends.
