Father's Day June 19

Psalm 68:4-5

Sing unto God, sing praises to his name: extol him that rideth upon the heavens by his name JAH, and rejoice before him.

A Father of the fatherless and a judge of the widows is God in his holy habitation. 6 God setteth the solitary in families: he bringeth out those bound with chains: but the rebellious dwell in a dry land.

Thank God that we can live in a country where we can sing praises to His name JAH. JAH comes from the Hebrew Word 'YAW', which means: THE LORD MOST VEHEMENT! Why would God give Himself this title?

Let's take a look at the definition of Vehement:

1. in a forceful, passionate, or intense, with great feeling.

With this title, God is declaring His intense, passionate love for you, His desire to see you overcome all obstacles. In these verses above, I would think that most everyone can find their comfort and promise that God will deliver you from what you're going through. If your a widow, praise God for; 'He is a Judge on your behalf' He will look out for you and take care of you.

If you're lonely, God will set you up in a family. I know a widow, and she was at church feeling all alone, and God said: "These are your brothers and sisters now."

Chains represent sin in your life, addictions, challenging obstacles that you can't overcome without His help.

He is: JAH

THE LORD MOST VEHEMENT!
