A Father's Heart May 29

Psalm 86:11

Teach me thy way, O LORD; I will walk in thy truth; firm

up my heart that I might fear thy name.

Psalm 86 was a Prayer of David; sometimes I wonder if David even knew the depths of his writings and how far

they would go to help us all.

There is one simple little line in this sentence that can be so easily overlooked:

‘Teach me Thy way, O LORD’ It’s a hidden gem lying right out in the open. We never stop to realize how great of a teacher God is, God-ordained teachers and established ministers to teach His word for generation after generation. But did you ever stop to think that God loves to teach us?

I listened to a lady named Kat Kerr tell about a vision she had in heaven. She said Father God was sitting on His throne teaching thousands of people. They were sitting on the ground, intently listening to every word God taught,

every eye just entirely captivated by the wisdom and

knowledge being taught. She said God loved teaching

them.

Maybe somehow, we’ve failed to notice that people who

inspire to be teachers have been given a character trait of

God in their hearts.

If you find yourself in a situation where you do not know

what to do, this would be an excellent start to your prayer;

‘Teach me Thy way, O LORD.’
