Seasons April 21
Ecclesiastes 3: 1-2
To everything there is a season and a time to every purpose under the heaven:
A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;
Seasons, times we go through. Some are short, some are long, in the natural, some are cold, and some are hot. Knowing what season you are going through would be a big help sometimes.
One of the most challenging seasons in life is after you part from a close friend, or a loved one goes on to be with the Lord. Over the years, the Lord has placed people into my life just at the right moment. Friends that know how to say the right thing at the right time that make everything so much better.
Maybe your mother or your father, brother or sister, someone with that gift. Sometimes they don’t always say things that are too sensitive, but after a while, you look back and think, ‘How’d they know?’ The Holy Spirit positioned them there, a battle plan that didn’t stop after you became saved. He still places people around you to grow you.
When people move on with their lives one way or another, we need to learn to say ‘Thank you, Lord, for my time spent with them.’ The gift of time that only God can grant.
Sometimes you’re the one positioned to do the planting in someone else’s life; you may think you need a huge tractor with a large disc to get your seed planted, but often it’s a simple act of love that matters most, one little, tiny seed and your season is served.
