The God of Presence March 20
Psalm 23:5
Thou preparest table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
In Exodus, the Israelites were given exact instructions on how to prepare the tabernacle for the LORD. The furnishings of the Tabernacle were a tent or movable structure, which later became the Holy Temple. We see further instructions from YAHUAH in: Leviticus 24:7 And thou shall put pure frankincense upon each row, that it may be a bread of memorial, even an offering made by fire unto the LORD. The symbolism of these words is really beautiful, and is continued through the New Testament. The Table of Shewbread was just a small table overlaid with Gold about three feet long and two foot tall. The bread was placed on the table weekly in the: Presence of The Lord, and was called the: “Bread of Presence” John 6:35 And Jesus said unto them, “I Am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger, and he that believeth on me shall never thirst.” Frankincense is olive oil combined with certain spices that we call anointing oil; this oil symbolizes the Holy Spirit: Mathew 25:4 But the wise took the oil in their vessels with their lamps.
Cup, refers to our body which Jesus used a cup to describe the Scribes and the Pharisees in:
Mathew 23:25 Woe unto you scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For ye make clean the outside cup and of the platter, but within they are full of extortion and excess.
Be wise and fill your cup with The Holy Spirit, ask God to overflow you with His presence, because these are your enemies: Ephesians 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
