Mathew 2:13

Now when they had departed, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream, saying, “Arise, take the young Child and His mother, flee to Egypt, and stay there until I bring you word; for Herod will seek the young Child to destroy Him.”

While asleep Joseph received an instructional night vision with instructions to flee to Egypt ans wait. Some ministers say as much as one-third of the bible is related to dreams. It would make sense, observing that we sleep approximately one-third of the day.

When I was a young Christian, people would tell me that God only spoke to you in a small still voice, they based this off of a scripture from Elijah. But there is another scripture that says God chooses how He will speak to you. Needless to say, this caused me much spiritual trouble and many hours of prayer. Then one day the Lord revealed to me that He had been speaking to me all along, through images, visions, and dreams.

Job 33: 14-16

“For God may speak in one way, or in another. Yet man does not perceive it.

In a dream, in a vision of the night, when deep sleep falls upon men, while slumbering in their beds,Then He opens the ears of men and seals their instruction.

Yes, the Lord will speak to you through dreams and visions. This is often the way Muslims accept Jesus as their savior, night visions. Because they believe that God can speak to you through dreams.

How do you know if a dream is from God, you, or the devil? A dream from God is always in color, and the color has meaning. Example a person wearing yellow, would mean that the person is seeking self-glory. Multi-colors would represent the Holy Spirit.

One dream I had: My dad was standing by a door wearing a wide brimmed hat with a pheasant feather sticking out and a funky multi-colored sports coat. I said: “Dad! Where are you going?” He straightened his coat and said: “I’m going to Chattanooga” and walked out the door.

My dad represented the Holy Spirit, and He was letting me know that a revival was going to break out in Chattanooga Tn. Two weeks later on TV, I saw that a revival had started in a truck stop, and I believe it is still going on today.

The enemy cannot create he can only replicate, so he cannot create color. One night I had a dream and, in the dream, a voice said: “You’re a liar.” I thought: “Wait a minute! I’m not a liar!” I woke up and a demon without a face had its hands and arms up to its elbows inside my head. The face was flat like a plate and white without any noticeable markings. Red hair down to the shoulders and a white gown. This thing was trying to replicate the Holy Spirit.

A soulish dream is more like a file download of the day’s events, and your mind is sorting things out. You can also force yourself to have a specific dream, false prophets would do this back in the old testament as seen in Jer. 29:8.

God is grand and He loves to use symbolism in a dream. While studying Christian dream symbolism, I noticed that often times Holy Spirit gives me Symbols in visions that are the same as dreams. Knowing this really helps me to prophetically explain the vision to the person I’m praying for, this is called understanding.

I recommend getting the book, The Divinity Code. It’s very good with dream

symbolism. Be quick to pray and ask the Lord to give you understanding.
