Predestination December 18

Romans 8:29-30

For whom the Lord knew He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren.

Moreover, whom He predestined, these He also called; whom He called;

these He also justified; these He also justified, these He also glorified.

Predestination, this word is only found six times in the bible, and it comes from the Greek word, Proorizo, which means: “to decide beforehand.” It reminds me of an old joke: “look up the word predestine in the dictionary, and your picture will be next to it.”

Everyone has predestination from God. Before the foundation of the world, His destiny for you was to accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. Once you accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior, He starts working to conform you to His image, the image of Jesus.

Isaiah 64:8

But now O Lord,

You are our Father;

We are the clay, and You our potter;

And all we are the work of Your hand.

The word image is powerful, and it implies that we are made in His likeness. I believe this to mean, His character.

I just had a vision of Jesus stepping in front of me in the Spirit. If He stands in front of you, the enemy cannot see you, you’re His likeness in the Spirit, if the enemy cannot see through Jesus he can’t see you, he only sees Christ, and if he can only see Jesus Christ, it’s as if he can only see the power of the King!

Romans 8:37

Nay, in all things we are more than conquerors, through Him that Loved us!

You have a lot more authority than you know.
