The Great White Throne Judgement December 20
Revelation 20:11-15
Then I saw a great white throne and Him who sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away. And there was found no place for them.
And I saw the dead, small and great, standing before God and books were opened. And another book was opened, which is the Book of Life, and the dead were judged according to their works, by the things which were written in the books.
The sea gave up the dead who were in it, and Death and Hades delivered up the dead who were in them. And they were judged, each one according to his works.
Then Death and Hades were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death,
And anyone not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire.
The Great White Throne Judgement, not everything in the bible is pretty; it's just true. This judgment takes place after the 1000-year reign of Jesus Christ, known as the millennial reign of Christ. Time-wise, we don't really know anything more than that. Satan is released from the pit after 1000 years. Once again, he tries to overthrow the nations and Christ. It may take hundreds of years or just a few, but men will once again turn against God. After this uprising comes, we will all stand and witness: The Great White Throne Judgment.
from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away. And there was found no place for them.
Almost like in a movie scene, all expanse will open up, no corners to hide in, no shadow of darkness, everyone's deeds will be exposed, good and bad. If your name is not found in the Book of Life, the lake of fire is where you will be, forever. No one will rejoice; in fact, there will be much weeping and many tears.
If your name is in The Lamb's Book of Life, you will see this prophecy fulfilled:
Revelation 21:4
And God shall wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying, there shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.
Sadly, I can almost see someone scoff and say: "I don't believe those things, huh!" Sorry friend, it's true whether you believe it or not.
Revelation 21:5
Write, for these words are true and faithful.
But here's your hope, your salvation, your way out of the lake of fire:
1 Thessalonians 1:10
Jesus who delivers us from the wrath to come.
The same person who would be your judge wants to be your deliverer. All you have to do is ask before it's too late. The word, deliver, comes from the Greek word "rhuomai" which can mean to save or to rescue, release, buy back, or set free. It also has an eschatological meaning (eschatological, relates to the ultimate destination of mankind): Jesus rescues the sinner from the day of wrath.
Please take the life ring that Jesus has to offer.
He is: Jehovah-Palat
Deliverer
Blessing's
