The God of My Salvation March 9

Psalm 32:7 - 8

Thou art my hiding place; thou shalt preserve me from trouble; thou shalt compass me about with songs of deliverance. Selah

I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye.

This Psalm was written by King David; it really is a masterpiece of praise. David had learned to trust the Lord in his hard circumstances.

When I was a young child, I remember being chased by bullies and believe me they meant to do me harm. As I ran down an alley way, I found a round pipe culvert to hide in, at an abandoned factory. As I was hiding, they came down the alley and walked past me, I even think one looked in the pipe but didn’t see me.

That memory came to mind as I was typing this. I think that is like Father God when someone is out to do harm and they walk past you to the next person. A lady friend of mine told me that she was in a parking garage walking to the elevator, a man came out to rob her, when the door of the elevator opened up a mouse came running. She screamed and had so much fear of the mouse that the mugger helped get rid of the mouse and forgot to rob her! Unfortunately, he robbed the next person that came through. God can hide you from evil and preserve you from trouble.
