Don't Let Go March 16

2 Samuel 23:9-10

And after him was Eleazar the son of Dodo, the Ahohite, one of the three mighty men with David when they defied the Philistines who were gathered there for battle, and the men of Israel had retreated.

He arose and attacked the Philistines until his hand was weary, and his hand stuck to the sword. The Lord brought about a great victory that day, and the people returned after him only to plunder.

This is an account of David's three mighty men of valor; this man's name was Eleazar. I love all things God! Especially men and women who are willing to sacrifice it all to serve the Lord.

There were many men that served under King David but only three were called The Mighty Men. These three men did unheard of exploits for the King and the nation of Israel. But did you ever think about it, the fact that we would have never heard of them if it wasn't for the Great faith of King David? When David as a young man went up against Goliath the entire military of Israel was watching, when Goliath's head came off Israel's faith rose up.

Notice in the scripture that it said, Eleazar's hand was weary and his hand stuck to the sword. He had fought so hard and for so long that he was exhausted and his hand froze to the sword. I see it as though he couldn't let go, pain so intense that his fingers locked to the handle. But somehow he kept fighting because that's what he knew to do. I don't believe he went out to gain a reputation he went out for the people because he let them have the plunder.

There are so many pastors like this when things are going so very hard they won't let go of the sword, except nowadays the sword is found in:

Ephesians 6:17

And the sword of the Spirit which is the Word of God.

There words of Faith make the congregations rise up for the week ahead. They push through the sermons on Sundays when the enemy has battled against them all week long, turns the other cheek when they have been wronged, enduring the hardships silently to protect the call.

Next time you see your pastor; tell him or her "Thank you, for sticking with your call."

He is: "Elohim"

"God of Might and Power"

Blessing's
