Lord Open Our Eyes October 3

2Kings 6:14-16

Therefore sent he thither horses, and chariots, and a great host: and they came by night, and compassed the city about.

And when the servant of the man of God was risen early, and gone forth, behold, an host compassed the city both with horses and chariots. And his servant said unto him, Alas, my master! how shall we do?

And he answered, Fear not: for they that be with us are more than they that be with them.

The Man of God was called Elisha, and this massive army had come solely for him. Elisha was a prophet (still is) and a great one at that. Israel was at war with the King of Syria; every time the King of Syria would create a battle plan, Elisha would forewarn the king of Israel. It happened several times, so much so that the King of Syria thought he had a spy in his court. Then his officials told him that it was the prophet, Elisha and that everything the king said in private was being repeated to the king of Israel by Elisha, so the king of Syria sent an army to capture Elisha.

Upon the army's arrival, Elisha makes this epic response: Fear not: for they that be with us are more than they that be with them.

Have you ever felt like the world was against you? That everyone hates you? I have, but let me assure you, the enemy's tactics have never changed; in this case, it was sudden Fear.

When we look at things in the natural, we can lose sight of what God is doing in the supernatural.

Sunday morning, I asked Jesus if He would share any future events with me, and He said: "I will Make America Great Again."

Even though everything looks like it is coming apart at the seams in our nation, Jesus has a plan.

And how did it turn out for Elisha? God blinded the army & Elisha told them he would help them find the prophet they were seeking. And the entire army held hands as he marched them into the middle of Israel's military, and God opened their eyes. The king of Israel asked if he should kill them? Elisha said: "No, feed them and send them home." After that, they had peace with Syria for years.

In our battle, we need to pray that God would take the blindness off those who wish to destroy. Pray this for your enemy:

Ephesians 1:18

The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints.

God is Calling His Saints.

He is: Jehovah-Sabaoth

Lord of Hosts
