The Beauty of God May 15

Psalm 90:17

And let the beauty of the Lord our God be upon us; and establish the work of our hands upon us; yea, the work of our hands establish thou it.

Gosh, that’s all you can think when you read this verse, it’s pleasant and comforting. The word beauty originates from the Hebrew word no-am which means; agreeableness, delight, suitableness, splendor, grace, beauty or pleasantness.

I spoke with my supervisor today and she told me how Thankful she was for her job, and that she knows that the Lord has placed her there so that she could support her family.

She was letting God’s beauty, His pleasantness be upon her and her job, the work of her hands, it made me realize that I needed to be thankful as well.

By reading this verse we learn that is up to us to let God’s grace be upon us. By doing this we allow God to establish the work of our hands. A pleasant work environment, that’s all most of us want, now we know the secret.
