“Revealer of Mysteries”

Isaiah 55:8-9 “For My thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways My ways,” says the Lord. “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, And My thoughts higher than your thoughts.”

You know God is really, really smart. I think I’m safe in typing this. You serve the Lord long enough you will get to learn this for yourself. The world is a very complex place, sometimes you find yourself saying: “Why?”

Seems like you’ve been through more than enough but enough just won’t stop. One time during ministry a man came up to me for prayer and the Lord very clearly said: “He is Blessed with the circumstances of life!”

I remember hearing this years ago, a company was transporting a certain type of live cod fish from the east coast to the west coast to sell. This cod fish was very good to eat on the east coast but by the time it made it to the west coast, the fish didn’t taste the same. Turned out the fish were too relaxed in the fish tanks and just enjoying the ride.

The company came up with a strategy to keep the fish healthy along the trip. They started placing sea catfish in the tanks along with the cod fish, turns out the sea catfish are natural enemies to the cod. This constant battle kept the cod strong during the trip. When they arrived for dinner on the west coast they tasted pretty good.

I know we want our lives to just sail along without any struggles, but what would we be in God’s eyes? Just a person that said they served God as long as everything went well. Offer your life up as a sacrifice of praise when things go well, rejoice when things aren’t going so well, trust in God that He is really, really smart. Somehow this will work out to your good.

Isaiah 55: 11 “So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth, it shall not return to me void, but it shall accomplish what I please, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.”
