All Sufficient God February 14

Psalm 34:17

When the righteous cry for help, the Lord hears, and rescues them from all their troubles.

What a Great scripture to know when things have gotten out of control. Hopefully, this will never happen to you but if it does you can rest assured that God hears, God answers.

We can all relate to this verse when seemingly insurmountable circumstances hit our life. But have you ever given thought about the little things?

We have this false sense of belief that tells us, ‘God is too busy to be bothered with this little problem.’ Let me share this story that a friend of mine told me years ago:

He was a manager of a jewelry store, he worked hard to make sure that all the details were handled. So basically, that’s management talk, translated it means; he worked really long hours.

One night he was working on a precision wristwatch, the store was closed, and it was about 11:00 o’clock at night. He was repairing a man’s wristwatch trying to replace a tiny little gear back on to the post. It was so small that he was using tweezers and a magnifying glass to position the gear over the post. He was very tired and getting frustrated because he could not get it back on the post. He told me that he had been trying for over twenty minutes to get just this one piece back into position.

Out of frustration he just said; “Jesus, would you help me?” Suddenly! The gear popped out of the tweezers onto the post, and he heard the Lord say this to him; “I care about the smallest detail of your life.”

He sat there in awe looking at how small that gear was and astounded that God cared about something so trivial.

But sometimes the trivial can make your life miserable. Trivial matters matter, and so do your prayers. Don’t ever think that your problem is too small for God to be willing to show His Magnitude on your behalf.
