Love, it has Rewards February 2

Psalm 91:14

Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name.

Have you ever faced a difficult situation in life where there seems to be no way out? We all have. Here’s the formula you need to get through the situation: all you need is Love, Love for God that is, pretty simple isn’t it? If we amplify this verse:

For upon Me he hoped, and I shall rescue him. I will shelter him for he knew My Name

This is called ‘Expectant hope’ or faith. I once told a Pastor “I wish God would just tell me what to do.” He smiled and said, “Now that wouldn’t be faith.” And he was right, faith is just trusting the creator of the universe and everything in it that He will help in our time of need. How do you get faith? By learning how to Love God.

And how do you Love God? By knowing his character His personality. That’s why I always list the names of God at the bottom of these Devotionals. These are names, that God has revealed to us about His character.
