Treasure Hunting October 24

Mathew 13:44

Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto treasure hid in a field; the which when a man hath found, he hideth, and for joy thereof goeth and selleth all that he hath, and buyeth that field.

Have you ever wondered why the man would find a treasure and then hide it in the field? Then go and sell everything he has to buy that field? Why not just take the treasure home?

Because he knew there was more treasure hidden in the field. The treasure is Jesus Christ, and the field is your bible. For some people, when they accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, it costs them everything.

Once you become a Christian, there is much more; there’s a relationship with Jesus, the baptism of the Holy Spirit, the Spiritual Blessings, the fruits of the Spirit.

Galatians 5:22-23

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,

Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

Some people seem to get these blessings right off as if it were fruit lying on top of the ground, but others like me have to dig in order to get the fruit. Try digging through pride to find meekness; it’s like it digging through granite sometimes.

No matter what your circumstance is in life, I assure you the bible has the answer. If you will dig, He will plant.
