Stronger Than Wind December 10
1 John 4:4
Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.
It’s good to be of God, and sometimes we forget that through Jesus Christ, we are dealing with a defeated enemy. You always hear people say, ‘like the faith of a small child.’
If Jesus is your Lord, you already are a child of God. Now we just need to work on the faith part. Adults struggle with child-like faith. Years ago, I read a story about a severe drought; this probably happened in the 1930s or ‘40s.
The community decided to gather together and pray for rain, and they had a large crowd. Pastors preached, and people prayed. I imagine it was a little loud. When they finished, and everyone was about to leave, a little girl broke out an umbrella and opened it up over her head.
While adults were leaving, she stayed and waited on God to send the rain because she expected the victory.
Another point worth mentioning is the word, them, it comes from the Greek word autos which means: ‘A Baffling Wind.’ Remember when you are battling the enemy, Most of the time, the enemy is just blowing hot air.
