Hope is Fuel September 15

Romans 15:13

So, I pray for you Gentiles that God who gives you hope will keep you happy and full of peace as you believe in Him. I pray that God will help you overflow with Hope in him through the Holy Spirit's power within you.

Hope, the most fantastic fuel for humankind, when spelled backward it spells out FEAR. Yes, the opposite of Hope is fear. That's why the enemy uses it to steal our Hope away.

When you have Hope, you know it shall come to pass no matter how difficult the situation. It's the hopeless times in life that are the most difficult.

Hopelessness continuously drains you of strength, the great evangelist Smith Wigglesworth who lived in the 1800's to 1947 observed the very poor, and he said this: "The reason poor people live in such unclean conditions is that they have no hope."

Poverty has a way of robbing your strength, and simple chores can become mountains to climb, just doing the laundry can feel like lifting weights. But it's times like these that you can find something to hope in.

2 Corinthians 4:17

These troubles and sufferings of ours are, after all, quite small and won't last very long. Yet this short time of distress will result in God's richest blessing upon us forever and ever!

Re-fuel yourself with Hope in the Word. The Word was made flesh and dwelt with mankind; that's Jesus! When you get to your weakest point, get happy because:

2 Corinthians 12:10

for when I am weak, then I am strong—the less I have, the more I depend on him.
