The Lord Hath Need of You
Luke 19 : 30-31
Saying, Go ye into the village over against you; in the which at your entering ye shall find a colt tied, whereon yet never a man sat: loose him, and bring him hither.
And if any man ask you, Why do ye loose him? thus shall ye say unto him, Because the Lord hath need of him.
A directive from Jesus, notice this time the disciples didn’t ask any questions or have any doubt that the colt would be there. They just did it, and they followed his instructions saying nothing more, nothing less and the owners let them take it.
A directive, yesterday I was praying for a man and the Holy Spirit said, “Protect him in his night runs.” When I prayed, I added three more words by saying, “on his bike.” The Holy Spirit quickly corrected me, “I said, Protect him in his night runs.”
I asked the man if that meant anything to him and he was very excited and said yes it did. Three more words and it would have meant nothing to him. The meaning would have been changed and worthless. It’s important to be obedient with the word given. We can see that the disciples followed His instructions and have learned obedience.
Here’s the order of sequence in Luke chapters 18, 19 -20
Jesus spoke in parables, comparing life to heaven, the kingdom of God, He gave a directive, loosed a bound colt, cleaned house, and was tested.
That’s how it goes for most of us bound by our circumstances tied to our bondage, the Lord sends the Holy Spirit to witness to you, His words set you free, most of the time the spiritual enemy has bound you with sin, taken ownership over your life. Jesus looses you from your bondage cleans away your past. In the beginning, it’s a joyful ride, everything seems new and wonderful, then the cleaning process, followed by testing.
We can learn allot from the little donkey, how to be led into our destiny, a suddenly and your life is changed.
