Lesson One May 27

Isaiah 48:17

Thus says the Lord, your Redeemer,

The holy one of Israel:

“I am the Lord your God,

Who teaches you to profit,

Who leads you by the way you should go.”

I read this scripture the other day & I thought about it for a moment, “Hmm, I’ve never actually asked God to teach me how to prosper?”

As I went to pray it just sort of popped out: “Lord teach me how to prosper!” Then I prayed and commanded the enemy to restore what he has stolen from me, hundred-fold!

Then I thought what’s a hundred-fold? How much is it exactly, so I grabbed a tissue and folded it, ok one-fold makes two, but two folds makes four! Fold three makes eight, fold four makes sixteen, fold five makes thirty-two, fold six makes sixty-four & fold seven makes one hundred and twenty-eight!

Needless to say, if you do the math all the way, you end up with a huge number. I thought this is not right & the Lord told me: “Your formula is sure.”

Then He said “Indemnity”

Which means security or protection against a loss.

Or it could mean: 'A sum of money paid as compensation, especially a sum exacted by a victor in war as a condition of peace!'

Ephesians 6:12

For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

Know who your enemy is and take your victory!

Next, He told me; “You cannot pay back that which you cannot afford to pay.”

Basically put, don’t go buy that new Glock 19 on a credit card, save up and just pay cash.

I asked the Lord what does all this mean? and He said: “Lesson One.”

It was then that I remembered the words to the prayer: He teaches you to profit.

I had simply asked God a question and He gave me my first lesson.

He is: "El Deah"
