He's your Potter

2 Corinthians 5:17

Therefore, if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

All things are become new, this includes your faith it should be refreshed daily through prayer. Your faith is for others. But what hinders faith?

  1. Pride

Pro 16:18

Pride before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall.

Many times while praying for people I have seen a vision of myself stepping back and pointing up towards God and saying, “Give God the Glory!” or “To God be the Glory!”

The Holy Spirit does this for me so that I won’t fall into pride, a snare the enemy sets to steal your anointing. When tempted to take credit for God’s work just cast the thought out quickly and tell the person to God be the Glory!

2. Lies from the enemy

I asked the Lord “What stops people from praying for others?” I believe He said this to me:

“Steamboat Repercussion”

I had to think about this answer for a while. Your prayers flame the fire that heat up the boilers in hell. Steam represents power, a force that is built up within the inner bowels of the ship until it can start moving the vessel, a boat mainly and in this case, it would move the vessel in the wrong direction and you are the vessel. But the amazing thing about steam is that it can be controlled. And with all its force it makes the weakest sounding noise of all the horns, have you ever noticed that? It will make you laugh when you see a huge boat make a toot, or a person complaining, we call that letting off steam. This would be a spirit of condemnation that creates self-doubt.

2 Timothy 1:7

For God did not give us a spirit of fear, but a spirit of power, of love, and self-discipline.

The definition of Repercussion is:

noun, plural noun: repercussions

an unintended consequence occurring some time after an event or action, especially an unwelcome one.

archaic

the recoil of something after impact.

There’s also another peculiar thing about this word, ‘Repercussion’ it’s a noun, which is a person place or a thing.

It has the ability to come back at you, sounds almost like the name of a demon doesn’t it?

Years ago while watching a war movie about the most decorated war hero in WWII, Audie Murphy, “To Hell and Back.”

His platoon was ordered to take a home sitting on the highest hill that was very strategic for both sides because it was the high ground much needed for observation. Once the Americans would take it, the Germans would regroup and make a counter attack and retake the same high ground. It took the brave men under Audie Murphy six or seven battles to finally hold the high ground, but they did and it was heroic.

I’ve noticed this in my life sometimes you have to fight the same spiritual battle over again, whether it be healing, finances, addictions or any other battle you keep repeating. It’s not because you have necessarily done wrong it could be because you have done right!

One day you will hold the high ground if you keep on fighting in prayer and faith. Sometimes when you get to the point where you have no fight left, and then say this, “I Love You Lord!”

Psalms 91:14

“Because he loves me,” says the Lord, “I will rescue him; I will protect him, for he acknowledges My Name.”

Because you are His clay in His Hand and He is:

He is: “Yotzerenu”

“Potter”
