Mark 16:16-17

And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils, they shall speak with new tongues, They shall take up serpents, and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them, they shall lay hands on the sick and they shall recover.

Recently I had two different people ask me this same question, “How do you get so much faith?”

Frankly, it’s a hard question to answer on the spot. For a long time, I would just take the attitude that once I prayed it was now God’s problem, not mine because I would worry about whether or not God would answer. But by giving it over to God it turned into trust, and trust equals faith.

You have the same Holy Spirit, just pray for others, and ask the Lord to use you.

I think faith comes in stages throughout your life but to put it simply for the sake of time

1. Blind Faith

When I first became a Christian, I was really on fire for the Lord and only knew this one scripture on the last page of the book of Mark 16: 15-18, especially the last sentence; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.

2. Learned Faith, we get this by observation and from following a good pastor with sound teaching. Paul said in, Acts 22:3I studied under Gamaliel and was thoroughly trained in the law of our ancestors

3. Faith by Experience.

This is by what you’ve been through in life, the experiences you have with your own prayer being answered, seeing the results when you pray for others, you’ll start to get excited. 1 Corinthians 4:20 For the kingdom of God is not in word, but in power. & James 2:18… and I will shew thee my faith by my works.

Go ahead and ask God to use you today to bless someone with a prayer, I know He will give you an opportunity to pray for someone. If you need the courage to pray, ask Jesus and He will supply that too.
