God with Us March 7

Luke 2:46

And it came to pass, that after three days they found Him in the temple, sitting in the midst of the doctors, both hearing them and asking them questions.

The word ‘doctors’ is referring to the teachers, instructors of the oracles of God, in this instance, they had found the Christ and were astonished at His answers! We will sit around God and be astonished for all eternity learning from the greatest instructor.

1 Corinthians 13:8

Love never fails. But if there are prophecies, they will be caused to cease; if tongues, they shall cease, if knowledge, it will be caused to cease.

What Paul is saying here is that the day will come when we no longer need the Prophesy, the Tongues, the Knowledge. Because we will be with Jesus in all His splendors. No need to prophesy about the future, no need to speak in tongues, words of knowledge will not be needed because we will go straight to the true source of knowledge.

And His Love for you will never cease. Looking back on your life have you ever gone through a trial and thought “How will I ever get through this?” And somehow you did, maybe God gave you a miraculous miracle, or maybe things just smoothed over? You overcame an obstacle in your life that you thought impossible and maybe you even thought that it would never end, and it came to pass.

One day while talking to a troubled man, that was about to go to jail for a lengthy stay, he asked me a very sincere question, based on a deep love for his wife, “How am I going to make it that long without my wife? I can’t be away from her for so long.”

He went on to tell me how much he would worry about her. I thought for a moment and remembered this old saying, “My bible never said; it came to stay, it always says; it came to pass!” He’s out now, back with his wife, and it came to pass.

The King James bible quotes this saying around 120 times for different reasons, some good and some not so good. But if you think about it, they all came to pass.

It’s easy to see that Jesus’s parents sought Him for three days and found Him at the temple, the church. If you’re seeking Jesus, trust me, you will find Him because He already knows where you are.

He is: Immanuel
