Your Road

Mathew 2:23 And he came and dwelt in a city called Nazareth, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophets, He shall be called a Nazarene. This is the account of Joseph, Mary & Jesus in their guided travels. Sometimes we think that we have a destination where we’re supposed to go and then God changes our direction, in this case, He warned Joseph in a dream to go another way. Joseph was clearly afraid before he changed direction, afraid because he was headed back to Judea, but found out that Herod’s son Archelaus was reigning over that region. Joseph wanted to go back to Judea because it was a place he was familiar with, Jesus was born in Bethlehem. Maybe Joseph thought that’s w

PALM SUNDAY

Daniel 9:24 Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy. Dan 9:25 Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times. Notice in verse 25 the words: to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two

It Doesn't Always Go The Way You Think

Romans 12:20 Rather, “If your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him a drink. For by doing so you will heap coals of fire upon his head.” Romans 12:21 Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good. I always chuckle to myself when I hear someone that is having issues with someone else, inevitably this scripture will come up as advice on how to handle the situation. They'll say something like 'You know what the scripture says if your enemy is hungry feed him.' By now you should know I have had an encounter with this scripture before. Years ago my family and I came home from church one Sunday afternoon and inexplicably my two neighbors just started shouting at us, the

A Father's Heart

Psalm 86:11 Teach me thy way, O LORD; I will walk in thy truth; firm up my heart that I might fear thy name. Psalm 86 was a Prayer of David, sometimes I wonder if David even knew the depths of his writings and how far they would go to help us all. There is one simple little line in this sentence that can be so easily overlooked: ‘Teach me Thy way, O LORD’ It’s a hidden gem laying right out in the open. We never stop to realize how great of a teacher God is, Father God ordained teachers and established ministers to teach His word for generation after generation. But did you ever stop to think that God loves to teach us? I listened to a lady named Kat Kerr tell about a vision she had in heave

Bible Scriptures for Self Defense

Exodus 22:2 If a thief be found breaking in, and be smitten so that he dieth, there shall be no bloodguiltiness for him. If someone breaks into your home and you’re in fear for your life or the safety of your family you have the right to defend yourself and your family. This is saying that you will have no guilt before God. Exodus 22:3 If the sun be risen upon him, there shall be bloodguiltiness for him - he shall make restitution; if he have nothing, then he shall be sold for his theft. If the person surrenders or is turned and flees you shall not kill him. (if the sun be risen upon him) This means if the perpetrator lives to the next day they need to pay back what they stole or what they d

Lesson One

Isaiah 48:17 Thus says the Lord, your Redeemer, The holy one of Israel: “I am the Lord your God, Who teaches you to profit, Who leads you by the way you should go.” I read this scripture the other day & I thought about it for a moment, “Hmm, I’ve never actually asked God to teach me how to prosper?” As I went to pray it just sort of popped out: “Lord teach me how to prosper!” Then I prayed and commanded the enemy to restore what he has stolen from me, hundred-fold! Then I thought what’s a hundred-fold? How much is it exactly, so I grabbed a tissue and folded it, ok one-fold makes two, but two folds makes four! Fold three makes eight, fold four makes sixteen, fold five makes thirty-two, fold
